Hello.
Thanks for your interest. To cover the basics: My pseudonym in the blogosphere is Edith Farrier; I live in a place with four seasons; and I’m around college age. My curiosities and passions are diverse, but four of the most notable deserve mention here.
I am a Christian. I strive, by God’s grace, to make this the defining characteristic of my life. I am fascinated by the Bible and the great story God is working out in the universe.
I am a musician. This is my career path of choice—specifically I sing (soprano) and play (violin) and have a smattering of piano. I’m classically trained, but have an appreciation for many different forms of music, including jazz and folk. I aspire to teach violin, do church music ministry, conduct choirs, and encourage others in the lifelong pursuit of God's glory through music.
I am a story-dweller. Stories have come as naturally to me as breathing for as long as I can remember. I love to read fairy tales and quality literature, and write my own fiction when I have time (which is less often than I’d like). By connection, I love words, and dabble in linguistics.
I came to the art of photography somewhat recently. It has become something I do mainly because of the fourth passion I wish to mention here: I love the outdoors, and have set myself to observe the wonders all around me in everyday life. I enjoy photography because it forces me to view the world with my eyes open to its beauty.
Perhaps you would like to join me in this. After all, your world holds many beauties, too.

What I Shoot With
I use a point-and-shoot camera, a Canon Powershot SD1000, supplemented occasionally with a good tripod. All the photographs in the Observatory (including those in the design) were taken by me with this camera.
